Somewhere between cellular, industrial radios, and expensive in-building wireless lies the Extreme Range Cordless, EP801 category. Providing premise wireless extension off the analog port of a PBX, Industrial Cordless phones offer durability and coverage with various levels of phone system functionality.

The latest launch in EnGenius range of telecommunication products is the EP801, Extreme range cordless from EnGenius Networks, the leader in Industrial Cordless. The new EP801 features broadcast 2-way radio, single-line and multi-line access, and the largest coverage area to date, making it ideal for large warehouses, retail stores and outdoor facilities like auto dealerships.

EnGenius’ products have always been known for their exceptionally long range, but, with over 80% of users behind phone systems, the new EP801 offers additional user-programmable PBX functionality beyond anything else offered in the category. 

EP801 is also the most recommended upgrade from DECT, 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz cordless phone and to eliminate the need for users to carry a separate two-way radio unit, EP801 features a two-way radio than can contact just one person or broadcast a message like a traditional radio system to all or a specific group of users. For higher scalability, EP801 can be expanded to support 4 base stations which services up to 36 cordless users.

Traditional long range cordless users in large manufacturing plants, retail environments, office space and conference halls ideally suited for EP801 with it’s coverage up to 2500 meters. Distribution centers with multiple workgroups and managers can be configured to share lines and contact each other by groups.

Ideally suited for IT, maintenance, and security staff members, EP801 covers up to 6 floors of in-building penetration for both telephone calls. It also allows staff members to contact each other through PBX extensions or via private or broadcast two-way radio calls.

Outdoor environments like self-storage facilities, school campuses, auto dealerships, and trucking yards need the ability to cover their space. EP801 covers up to 10 acres of open area outdoors and features a durable, rubber housing.
